PROXMOX
What is Proxmox and why use it?
An overview of Proxmox
Proxmox Virtual Environment (PVE) is a Free and Open Source virtualisation solution (AGPLv3 licence) that enables the deployment of virtualised systems with Linux KVM or on Linux LXC containers, software-defined storage and networking capabilities, on a single platform.
Proxmox allows you to deploy KVM or LXC images that can be easily configured using the system's powerful integrated graphical interface.
The interface enables complete management of the network, DNS and storage, as well as the definition of custom authorisations to meet your virtualisation needs.
Proxmox Virtual Environment is built around a Linux Debian base with components developed by the Proxmox teams.
In addition to these components, the system can be configured using different operating systems such as ZFS, EXT4, GlusterFS and CEPH.
Enterprise-ready
Enterprises use the powerful Proxmox VE platform to easily install, manage and monitor their hyper-converged data centres (HCI). Multiple authentication sources, combined with role-based user and permission management, enable flexible control of HA clusters. The REST API makes it easy to integrate third-party management tools, such as custom hosting environments.
Proxmox VE's scalable and open development model guarantees full access to the product's source code, as well as maximum flexibility and security.
